reclining the seat of the All-New Carnival

Five years ago, I had the reclining modification done at a shop, which allows the right seat in the second row to recline up to 180 degrees.

 

As soon as I did that, I had to install baby car seat on the right seat....

So, my wife and I wife couldn't use the function... lol.

 

Recently, my wife wants to make the other seat to recline 180 degrees Because she needs to lie down when she gets in the car. She has a 6-month-old baby, and the doctor said she needs to lie down as much as possible because her cervix is too short, around 2.5 to 3.5 cm. she had surgery because of this.

 

anyways, 

That is why, I decided to get the reclining modification done.

 

1. Remove the side cover plastic.

 

2.  Use a cutter to trim the part that prevents the seat from reclining beyond a certain angle. Be careful not to cut too much, and make sure to use a small cutter for the task.

 

3.  Use a grinder to smooth the cut surface. (Some people don't do this. But it is necessary to prevent the seat leather from tearing.)

 

4. The completed work looks like this.

 

 

Whenever my wife is getting the car, she always use the reclining. :)
